LAN tourneys

After talking to some people from last year and a few that want to go this year, ive decided to see what kind of interest there is in getting some Tourneys setup for the lan room ahead of time, so that people can get there teams/schedules/equipment sorted out, and so we have a little bit of friendly competition going on in the lan room this year.

let me know what you would be interested in doing as far as games go, off the top of my head ive come up with:

UT 2004
UT III
CS 1.6
CS:S
HL2:DM
TF2
WC3
StarCraft

i am planning on having isos of any games that tournements are held for, but players will be responsible for serial keys and what not

Would it be possible to play some Left 4 Dead, I played it at one of my own personal LANs and it really lends itself to LAN play. (I'm bringing all my LAN friends, its gonna be awesome)
Also, what Warcraft III maps are you planning on playing (DotA?)

WC3 Maps

Warcraft Maps we should have

DotA (I hate the DotA community but the map is good)
MadBall (Dodgeball with a physics system)
IceWind (Battleships but good. 1.X cause 2.X sucks)
Uther Party (Preferably 2)

And some other things like Tower Defenses

updates

i will be incorporating some sort of left 4 dead shenanigans, and of course you all are always welcome to host your own servers. i will just be hosting some of the more popular stuff, as well as some free for lan games that you may not of heard of/played.

as far as tourney sign ups go, im still working out the exact details, but there will be some sort of signup system in place in the lan room, and i will try my best to schedule the tourneys around the rest of the event.

Alliance of Valiant Arms!!!

My friends and I have been really getting into this game called Alliance of Valiant Arms. It is a free game to download, it uses the UT3 Engine and is a very very fun and competitive game to play. It out scores combat arms in everyway. Heavy weapon customization, multiple game modes. I have played this game since Beta and it has only gotten better. My clan and I out of nowhere ended up in a clan tournament with Pandemic, a very well known sponsored gaming team. They were known for there skills in CSS and Warcraft. We played them but we lost 6-1. I wanted to share this game to everyone in hopes that there might be a tournament at MAGfest for the LAN room. This game is very worth it and would be very popular since its free. Here is the link to check it out. My Clans name is PartyFoul.
