Hows that idea sound? Preferably Royal Carrib since I had the better experience on thier ship The Navigator of the Seas. Maybe get in touch with someone about this idea at thier Offices and see if they could work something out logistics and all.
That could be pretty costly
That could be pretty costly for some, although it does sound cool. But many people would have to plan ahead way in advance not to mention a back up plan would be needed for the in case of emergencies. Where would we sail to? Would people want to get off at places and stop gaming? There's a lot into that, but again, I really do think it sounds cool. I love boats :-)
3-4 day cruise to no where
3-4 day cruise to no where several companies have those but the ppl that do those tend be of the lower cast and tend to start trouble allot (iv seen videos where they actually have security patrols on some of the ships depending on the rowdiness of the ships passengers)
then again most of the time
then again most of the time id be in the casino because it would be open every day
i just thought of another
i just thought of another dilemma. the attendees that under the age of 18 wouldn't be allowed to attend unless they had a parent attend as well.
Not to be rude but...
The likelyhood that something like that would actually be able to be pulled off is slim to none. They couldn't even get a magfest summer camping thing going and that costs alot less then a cruise. If someone already owned a boat that would be different but to my knowledge not a single magfest person has a boat (at least not one big enough to pull anything off). What I suggest is have some get together with people you know in your town and just hang out for a weekend and it could be a potluck style thing. That way it would keep the logistics down.
Very good point
I think the only way something like this could be pulled off is if several of the different cons joined forces to make it a one time thing (not annual like the actual cons)
i was really hoping for the camping deal as well...but who knows maybe something in the future can be looked at
Along those lines yes maybe
Along those lines yes maybe takeing over nearly half of the Navigator of the Sea (since theres plenty of space there for that sorta convention) but like I said if the tables are decent ill be playin Blackjack at night.
The Captain Planet of game cons
Ironically, the oil spill has probably lowered the price of cruise line tickets. Thus, with our powers combined, we may be able to afford a once in a lifetime, gaming on the high seas adventure. One for the history books, no doubt.
I'm only this awesome because someone has to do it.
party
I don't have a yacht... but I have 3 kayaks, 3 sailboats, a speed boat, canoe and 2 jet skis at my beach house, lets just go party there bitches <3

do you have a full casino
do you have a full casino with decent blackjack tables? and copious amounts of free food? and a shit ton of space? a floating movie theater? a Floating CITY? no didnt think so
commercial like
now that sounds like the making of setting up our own island like on that one commercial. i think its a bicardi commercial. :-D
MAGFest Island!! :-D
MAGfest Island
I approve this message.
I'm only this awesome because someone has to do it.
MAGfest Island
I do not have a casino, floating theater or free food -cheap, but not free-, but there is an uninhabited island not too far from our house that is amazing for huge parties and is quite fun to steal from others if there's already a party happening
last year we all went over there, most of us dressed as pirates, commandeered their party and hoisted a jolly roger. twas epic.

So jealous
You played pirate on an uninhabitated island? Dude, I'm so jealous. But it sounds like it could be GREAT for MAGFest Island! :-D
We are just going to need A LOT generators LOL
Not only that, this would combine MAGFest with the camping idea as well :D
if people wanted to play tons
if people wanted to play tons of videogames or throw a full out concert, then yea, we'd need a ton of generators, but we've never had an issue because all our week long parties have been pretty much just nonstop drinking, boating and swimming

Location Location
Ok, I need to know where this island is LOL
Location
We get to the island from leaving our house in White Stone, va. It's about a 5min ride on jetski and 20min by sailboat (depending on wind), I don't however have the exact gps coordinates or anything :p
