To anyone taking the metro, last year when I took the metro on New Year's Eve, we waited about a half hour at King's Street Metro, then finally called the hotel only to discover that the shuttle wasn't stopping there at all that night, and we had to get back on the metro and go to Ronald Reagan (the airport, not the man) to get picked up. As I understood it, it was only that way for that particular night.

I'm not saying it'll be the same this year, but if you do plan on taking the metro, make sure to program the hotel's phone number into your phone so you can call them and make sure you'll be getting picked up. Actually, call them before you even get on the train so you can find out which stop to get off at ahead of time, and to make sure they're even going to pick you up.
