Probably one of the most under-appreciated games on the Wii. Excite Truck game is so ridiculously fun. Not sure how exactly you would do it since the multiplayer kind of sucks. Maybe do it one person at a time on multiple consoles and sere who gets the most stars?

Maybe a random obscure fighter competition could be held. Say the game isn't announced until day 1 and is setup in the game room so you have til Saturday to practice. Maybe list several possibilities online weeks before hand.

Make sure that you add Marvel versus Capcom 2 and Capcom versus Snk2. These games would be perfect for a tournament. Plus they are the best 2d brawlers of all time.

We tried this one at MAGFest 5 and it was a reasonable hit. Several of us staffers dig ExciteTruck so this could make a re-entry with enough interest.

ok, so i have been neglecting the boards cause games seem to be getting in the way. anyways, so what you guys are asking is for almost a tourny for every game. lets not forget i need sleep at some point during the con. so lets do CoD4, GoW2, Halo3, Rockband2, Street fighter (any), soul calibur 4, do some MvC2, excite truck, wii sports, smash bros (pick one, some like brawl over melee and the other way), melty blood (if we got a copy, hint hint), any KoF, and maybe a ddr or beatmania game.

and if you wanna help run any of these, let me know. might need some help with the fighters to get all these done in time.

by the way, i dont do the computer games. talk to the lan guys about those. i just do console.

Considering it is actually AWESOME and has a lot of songs that differ from rockband 1/2.... we can just do a Battle of the Bands. Since they both use the same instruments and people might want songs from each.

I still am annoyed by the "open strum" crap on the bass though. hard as hell to see that damned purple line.

Well, on the Sega Saturn note I think it'd be pretty cool to see Fighting Vipers.

I would like to run Melee/Brawl tournaments. I attend Melee/Brawl tourneys almost every week and I know how to run it efficiently and quickly but still being very fair. I have software on my laptop for the bracket as well.

And if for some reason we don't have melee/brawl tournaments, well I will be thoroughly disappointed.

No brawl/melee. I hate the game so I refuse to put it at MAGFest.....

Even though we have one every year I have gone. And we will prolly always have one every year.

Like I said in the other post, figure a few games you wanna run and we will work on when/where you can do em.

I'd also suggest (if time and resources permit), working in a Blazblue tourney as well, seeing as it's the new "successor" to the Guilty Gear style gameplay...

I LOVE this game so much! I am awesome at it, but I never get to play anybody, even at the local arcade. It would be cool if there was a tournament for it. It would be good on any system, but the Dreamcast game owns.
