I tried Pho at magfest 7 (2009). I really enjoyed it. Who else likes Pho. If you dont know what Pho is, its a Vietnamese soup. I found it to taste really good and the portion size is awesome too.

Where is nearest Vietnamese place to the hotel? I have always wanted to try Vietnamese foods.

I hear there is one with in walking distance of the hotel. I havent gone my self so I dont really actually know. You could always type something like Pho and plug in the address of the hotel into google.

I fucking love pho! and I don't know about walking distance, but I do know that the best pho I've had in the area is actually about a 5min drive from MAGfest.

If you like Korean or Japanese...
...there is a 24 hour place in Annandale that is really good. It's called Yechon and more info is available here http://www.yechonrestaurant.com/
I went there with some co-workers and it was really good. And since it's open 24 hours, figured it would be a good place to consider outside of the usual pizza and chips LOL

for next time around: Pho 75 in Arlington is hands down the best in the area.
Next time
Next time we get people to agree on a time and place beforehand and carpool over to it because trying to plan at magfest just doesn't work. I am down for Pho whenever I do not have a car and will have to ride with someone. Anyone can come find me in the magfest irc channel my nick is RodMcTop.

Sounds like a good time may take ya up on the offer ALSO the hotel has a sushi bar right? that seems to solve PART of the Japanese food stuffs but on that note in there any indian places around I need to find sum CURRY Chinese or Japanese Curry will be fine also.
Yechon
Last year 2 car loads of us went to Yechon on the last night. It was a blast. The fact that they are opened 24 hours was a huge help. But the food was great and we kept sampling each others food which was of both Japanese and Korean cuisines. It was my first time trying tongue meat. I hope that we get to do that again.
A close Pho place
Golden Cow Pho is less then 2 miles away from the hotel. I tried it last time and it seemed pretty decent it is located at 3537 Jefferson St., Falls Church, VA. For some reason google maps gave a bad way to get there. The mapquest ones gave a much more logical route you can see for your self here at this link.

well
I do not have a car and at m8 when I asked you a few different times you didnt seem interested. This time I am just going get whoever that has a car and is hungry. Trying to plan anything in advance for magfest seems to be destined for failure. I tried 2 years in a row to do something with different people and it never worked out. Golden Cow is decent and its pretty close to the hotel it could be walked to but it would eat up alot of time to walk there.
