I will be attending magfest this year for the first time and I'm mostly a console gamer myself, but i will also be bringing my PC. Anyways I was wondering if anyone could give me some sort of idea about which 360 games I should plan on bringing and what other people were planning on playing. The ones I'm assuming most everyone has are Halo 2, Gears 2, and CoD4&5, as well as probably Left 4 Dead. Which games do you think will be played the most.
As for PC games I dont really own any and I just built a new computer for xmas, so I was wondering what I should plan on bringing, and if they all have to be purchased or how I could go about playing them at the LAN without running out and spending a bunch of money on games just for the event.

well counter strike source is always popular. I wouldn't be surprised to see some unreal tournament 3. beyond that I can not guess. though said it somewhere make sure you have everything installed and updated before you come.
we will be providing a bunch
we will be providing a bunch of 'free for LAN' games, like quake wars. you can install quake wars without a key, and play it single player or LAN all you want, the key is only needed for online play. all id games are like that, and some other games. there are also cases like starcraft, where its free to install a 'spawn' copy, and then you need 1 CD for every 3 clients playing. theres no guarantee we'll be providing the game you want, so if theres something specific you're into, make sure you have that.
if you show up with nothing installed on your PC, we will have something for you to play.
360
As for console and 360 games. Bring everything cause im sure there will be someone who will play everything with you. As for the bigges like halo, gears, and cod. feel free to sign up for tournaments.
L4D might have a thrown together tourney but i can guarantee that plenty of people will be playing it in console room.

Well yeah I agree, I wouldn't
Well yeah I agree, I wouldn't be surprised if there's people that would be playing Counter-Strike: Source. I play it most of the time. Also, probably check out Team Fortress 2.
http://steampowered.com it's a good website to buy great games! (just so you know!)
