Log in and scroll down to the bottom to subscribe to this page and you'll get notified of any changes. If we find out our block of hotel rooms filled up the information will be posted on this page.

It does not cost anything to reserve a room. You can also cancel your room without a penalty if you do it more than 24 hours before your reservation starts. And the parking thing on Hilton reservations? Just ignore it, we arranged for it to only be a couple bucks, they can't change that part of the site, it will always say $9/$13.

The hotel is not full. You can still get a room. Hilton Reservations will often tell you "they're almost gone!" which quickly snowballs on forums into others saying that they just got theirs too, and everyone concludes the hotel is full. Just call and ask, or attempt to reserve one online.

If you find out that you cannot reserve a room, don't panic! The people that can fix this is us -- more precisely, Brendan -- and we are happy to try and do that once we know there's a problem (and what it is). If you have an account here on the site, send us a message. Or just pop on IRC and chat with us there. We will need to know:

• What nights did you try to reserve your room for?
• Smoking or Non?
• King or Double?
• Did you try via the phone or the website?

Wondering when you should reserve your room for?
For MAGFest 8 we recommend staying at the hotel Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Remember, MAGFest is a day later than usual -- through Monday -- due to the New Year being a day later this year. If you are preregistered, you may also want a room for Thursday.

Tips for reserving a room:

• Never tell the hotel you will have more than 4 people in a room.
• If you want to change the type or location of your room, you are usually able to do this when you check in.
• Don't forget that you can significantly lower your costs by sharing a room.
• If you can't get a double room, try reserving a king. The hotel can usually switch it at the front desk or over the phone.
