Remember going to the arcade to play the "newest" games, waiting in line to play the newest cool title that hadn't made it to home systems yet, or the reigning fighting game champ? How about the crazy japanese music games that everyone loves? Even though arcades are (sadly) a dying breed in the real world, you can relive that feeling from when you were younger at MAGFest, where we have recreated the experience. Our arcade area boasts over one hundred machines, all set to free play, so once you've got your badge you can rock the arcades all weekend long. Finally, you can beat the 6-player X-Men game without spending all of your allowance.
Our arcade machines are brought to us every year by a multitude of collectors including
classics from local arcade man Michael "Buffett" Currence, newer stuff from North Carolina's Tony Majors and the WeDoCa crew, music games from our very own LAN guys and staffers Gerg and cmcm, even more variety and pinball from Scott Schreiber and the Retro Gaming Roundup crew, and Michael Cera impersonator extraordinaire Eric Holniker. As was mentioned before, but is always worth repeating, the 6-player X-Men machine will be there all weekend.
We love it when arcade collectors bring their cabinets to MAGFest, so if you have a machine you'd like to show off, or even sell, contact us and we can work out an arrangement to get your cabinet to MAGFest.
